The NY Department of Transportation has informed us that the Brewerton Bridge (Route 11) will be closed to two-way traffic as of January 13, at 9:30am, in order to construct a new bridge for better traffic flow, and pedestrian access. In the interim, the Brewerton Bridge will become a one-lane road in both directions, with a traffic light controlling the flow of vehicles in an alternating fashion.
The new bridge is expected to be operational expected to be completed by December of this year, according to DOT estimates. In the meantime, expect slower traffic in the Brewerton area for the remainder of 2026.
