PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Cicero Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., local time at 8236 Brewerton Road to consider Local Law 10 of 2023 repealing Local Law 23 of 2008. Local Law 23 of 2008 amended Chapter 190 Taxation with regard to income calculations for Senior Citizen Exemptions and Persons with Disabilities. The amendment of Chapter 190 of the Town Code Section 109-2 allowed applicants to deduct all out of pocket medical and prescription drug expenses from income calculations for the purpose of determining eligibility for partial real property tax exemptions, at which time and place all persons will be heard either for or against the granting of the request stated in said notice. The proposed Local Law is to repeal the previous 2008 Local Law Amending Chapter 190 as it has been an overburden.
