                                                    NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

FOR HORSE BARN DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

TOWN OF CICERO

ONONDAGA COUNTY, NEW YORK

Sealed bids for the construction of the Horse Barn Fill Removal Project will be received at the office of the Town Clerk, Town of Cicero, 8236 Brewerton Road, Cicero, New York, 13039, until 10:00 A.M., Local Time, August 31, 2023 and there at said office at said time publicly opened and read aloud.

            This project includes the removal of approximately 2,700 c.y. of fill surrounding a portion of the North Branch of Pine Grove Brook located at 5840 South Bay Road and subsequent restoration of the property.  The contract period for this work shall be 60 days from the Notice to Proceed.  It is desired for this project to be completed in 2023.

            Contract Documents are available at no charge.  Call the Town Engineer at 315-752-1182 or e-mail kfiorello@cicerony.gov to request a copy.

            A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:30 am on August 16, 2023 at the project site, 5840 South Bay Road.

            The Owner is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all mate­rials, equipment and supplies sold to the Owner pursuant to this Con­tract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contrac­tor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment and supplies to be sold to the Owner pursuant to this Contract, including tangible person­al proper­ty to be incorporated in any structure, building or other real property forming part of the Project.  These taxes are not to be in­cluded in the Bid.

            New York State Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this contract.

            Each Bid shall consist of the Bidding and Contract Requirements (pages B-1 through B-7) and must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form of a Bid Bond, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
