After years of operating from a double-wide, donated, trailer, our Cicero Police moved in April 2018 to a modern building that reflected their proper respect and support. On September 11, 2019, the Town Board declared that the building would be immediately renamed the Joseph F. Snell Jr. Police Building, in honor of retiring Chief Joseph F. Snell Jr., following 24 years of dedicated service.
Dedication: The new Police Department building on Rt 31 was dedicated on Friday, June 8, 2018. Attending were Assemblyman Al Stirpe, State Senator Dave Valesky, our Town Board members, Supervisor Venesky, the Honorable David Bruffett Jr, Chief Snell. our highly-respected officers, our Volunteers in Police Service, and many other dignitaries.
