Notes on flooding situation (Beach Rd. ) 4/2/26
Heavy rains this week have caused Oneida Lake to overflow its banks onto Beach Rd. in Cicero.
The Cicero Highway Dept. has closed Beach Rd. from both directions, except for local traffic. Residents are asked to observe extreme low speeds when driving through the flooded section to avoid their wake from cascading onto houses.
We will have a sandbag filling station located behind the South Bay Fire Department for residents to fill sandbags to use for their properties.
EMS from Cicero and Brewerton are on standby in case of emergency.
The Town of Cicero Highway Department will be monitoring the situation over the weekend, as more rain is predicted on Sunday.
