I am pleased to share that the Town received its financial review by Standard and Poor and it is a solid AA rating. Our Town is fiscally strong. The official letter had several bullet points that I quote here:
– Strong budgetary performance
– Very strong budgetary flexibility
– Very strong liquidity
– Strong debt-and-contingent-liability position
– Strong institutional framework score
Your town board and I are proud of this record, achieving an AA rating two years in a row. Thank you all for your support.
The Beach Road closure has been extended by the Onondaga County contractor to Aug.22. This info was reported by our town Highway Department. . For more info: call 315-720-6653.
I am proud to announce that a solution which addresses the traffic safety concerns of Bridgeport residents at the Rte. 298 / Rte. 31 intersection is ready to be implemented. A roundabout (or Traffic circle), will be constructed and completed by the end of August to safely move vehicles and pedestrians through that busy corridor.
This has been a collaborative effort between David Smith, Regional Director of the New York State Department of Transportation and his team, State Senator David Valesky; Bridgeport Fire department Chief Gerry Honors and myself, Town of Cicero Supervisor Mark Venesky. This is a perfect example of different levels of your government coming together to quickly and thoroughly address the concerns of the Community.
Mark Venesky, Town Supervisor
