BREWERTON, NY July 17, 2018 – The Town of Cicero will be hosting a Public Meeting to discuss future improvements to the Hamlet and long-term community planning topics.
The meeting will be held at the Brewerton Fire Department at 9625 Brewerton Road on Tuesday, July 17th at 6:30 pm. This workshop will introduce the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program project, describe the planning efforts underway, and provide the public with the opportunity to suggest potential improvements or projects they would like to see in Brewerton.
The meeting will be an opportunity to review and comment on previous ideas for community improvements, as well as to provide new ideas for areas such as: connecting downtown to Oneida Lake and the river, improving pedestrian connections and trails, wayfinding, gateways, and recreation opportunities.
This meeting is an early step in an ongoing planning process for the Hamlet of Brewerton and Town of Cicero. Staff members from the Town and a consulting team will be on hand to help guide the discussion. All local residents and business owners are encouraged to attend and provide input!
A second public meeting will be held later in the year to present and review the recommendations of the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, once they have been developed. This work is being funded by the Environmental Protection Fund Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (EPF LWRP) administered by the New York State Department of State.
