Rubbish Removal Update

Syracuse Haulers has advised us that, due to still being in catch-up mode this week, they ‘may’ not get to all blue bins today. If that should happen, they will finish their pickups on Saturday. However, they do plan to finish picking up all trash. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you.

The Town is looking for an interested and committed resident to fill a vacancy on our Ethics Committee.  This is a volunteer position; the term is scheduled to end December 31, 2019.  You can access our purpose, policy, and code through the following link:

You may also send questions you have to that email address.  All inquiries will receive a response.

Thank you!

Trash & Brush Update

TRASH Update: Syracuse Haulers has a huge workload this week as they merge Cicero into their schedule. This means that pickups may run as late as 7 pm today and possibly other days this week. Your patience is appreciated.
BRUSH Update: Storms and other natural causes limited brush pickup west of S. Bay last week. The vendor anticipates getting all brush by Tuesday. This is in no way related to the trash issue. Again, we appreciate your patience. Sometimes mother nature get things her way. Thank you.

Rubbish Removal Issue

If you’ve seen the news, it’s true: Feher Rubbish Removal has ceased operations. The Town was only notified of this at 2 pm Thursday and we are pleased to share that the town and Syracuse Haulers have reached an agreement and your regular rubbish pickup will resume Monday, May 14, with the same schedule as before. To those of you whose rubbish may not have been picked up, I offer our regrets, but I am pleased we have a path forward. Should any of you need to speak with Syracuse Haulers, their phone number is 315.426.6771. Thank you.
