Judy A. Boyke/Town Supervisor:
(315) 699-1414

Cicero, New York, is located on the southern shore of Oneida Lake. A northern suburb of metropolitan Syracuse, Cicero is a highly visible location with excellent access via I-81, I-481, I-90 and Route 11. Cicero is truly a great place to work and live. With much to offer, Cicero has outstanding resources, it is conveniently located, has excellent education facilities, worship opportunities and an outstanding community spirit.
Cicero is the fastest-growing town in Central New York and has led Onondaga County in new home construction for several years. Its unique location has provided the town with future residential, commercial and industrial growth. The 2007 town budget has allocated funds to promote economic development in our community. We're being proactive rather than reactive, Supervisor Chester Dudzinski said. Were looking at everything, office parks, industry, and retail, anything that can increase our commercial tax base and ease the tax burden on the residential property owners.
Several commercial developments in the town of Cicero including Wal-Mart, and Lowes have now been completed. Target, and Walgreens are currently under construction. Also Market Place, home of the newly constructed Price Chopper, is continuing its growth with space for future businesses. Gander Mountain recently opened a 65,556-square-foot store located on Pardee Road, specializing in outdoor sporting activities.
Drivers Village, located directly off of Route I-481 and Route I-81, is a state-of-the- art auto mall consisting of approximately 20 different dealerships. This will be the largest auto facility in the area. We currently have developments in the preliminary stages and these commercial projects will be announced at a later date.

Cicero has several industrial and commercially zoned parcels available. There are tax incentives also available for eligible businesses.

We welcome and encourage businesses to contact the Supervisor's Office. We can provide additional information assisting developers on potential projects and also schedule on-site tours.
