We are your Cicero Police. We, and our many volunteers, are committed to serve our community, and we are also involved with the community, whether helping children, providing safety seminars or participating in community events and more. We are Your Police Department and We’re Proud to Serve.
Living in one of the fastest growing communities in Central New York brings on many challenges, traffic, crime, and quality of life issues. We will continue to work hard for you as we meet these challenges.
Please review our Police Services page; we do far more than issue tickets and make arrests and drive police cruisers. We encourage citizen participation and actively maintain several programs and services that result in a “citizen partnership.” If you are a Cicero resident, we invite you to become a partner in maintaining the quality of life that has made the Town of Cicero the “Town” to live and work in.
We especially encourage all Cicero residents to avail themselves of our popular email-based e-Policing program. This program keeps residents abreast of criminal activity in the community and allows residents to directly report issues and concerns
Also, please see the Volunteer Services area of our Website, should you wish to join the Men and Women of the Town of Cicero’s “Volunteer-In-Police Services”, who devote time to serve the Town.
Joseph F. Snell Jr., Chief of Police
It is the mission of the Town of Cicero Police Department to serve all people within our jurisdiction with respect, fairness and compassion. We are committed to the protection of life and property; the preservation of peace, order and safety; the vigorous enforcement of local, state and federal laws in a fair and impartial manner.
We are committed to serving our community to enhance the quality of life and to nurture public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics. Our officers are determined to serve as a deterrent to crime, develop relationships with community groups, residential and business organizations, and promote an environment receptive to all visitors and residents.
