There is more to a town government than administering road maintenance, collecting taxes, passing laws, etc. A town consists of people and part of a town government’s responsibility is to provide assistance where there is a known need. The Town of Cicero is proud to provide two advocate services, one for seniors and one for veterans. We hope you find these services useful to you or your family.
Seniors Advocate: Diane Browning • email@example.com
Phone: 315-317-8364 or 315-699-1410
Hours: Tuesdays from 9 am to 12 pm
Ms. Browning’s role is to assist seniors by distributing information, giving advice, and providing assistance with filling out applications for the various programs available to them such as the HEAP Program, Enhanced Star Program, Meals on Wheels, Medicaid, Medicare, etc. It is also very important to provide these applications within the appropriate time frame and to the proper agency. All seniors are welcome to call, stop in, or email her for assistance.
Neighborhood Advisor (Catholic Charities): Lori Wynn
Ms. Wynn is at the Senior Center the second and fourth Friday of the month from 11 am to 1 pm.
Veterans Advocate: Bill Meyer • firstname.lastname@example.org
The Town of Cicero has great respect for all our active duty military and Veteran residents. It has been your service to our country that gives us the freedom we embrace. The Town Board named Bill Meyer to serve as our Veteran’s Advocate. He conducts presentations at local community groups about Veteran benefits and the VA claim process. He also conducts private sessions with Veterans and their family member. Residents that would like more information can contact Bill at 315-699-2690 or at email@example.com.
